Dry Land Mesa Stop 1 introduction

The Dryland Mesa is the largest section of the Garden and the most common flower there is the Penstemon.  The Garden has nearly one dozen varieties in shades of pink, purple, red, and even yellow. Penstemons are native exclusively to North America (includes Central America).  A majority of those are native only to the West.   See how many of them you can find in the Dryland Mesa and the Montane section next door.
