Welcome to Durango Botanical Society's (DBS) Durango Botanic Gardens (DuBG) that include the Library Demonstration Garden (est. 2011), the Crevice Gardens Along the Trail (2016), the Gabbro Miniature Conifer Garden (2016) and the Arboreta (2018). Directly north of the Crevice Gardens, and under construction (2019-2020) by the Mountain Thyme Herb Society, is an herb-themed sundial.
All the gardens are located on the Animas River Trail and the grounds surrounding the Durango Public Library. All gardens are developed and maintained by DBS for the purposes of education and demonstration. No public funds have been used to develop these gardens. DBS is an all-volunteer organization dependent on contributions from our community and garden visitors. If you enjoyed your visit today, please contribute to our effort. Your contribution will help us grow this year!
