Welcome to the Durango Botanic Gardens (DBG). Started in 2011, these include the Library Demonstration Garden, the Crevice Garden, and the Arboreta. Directly north of the Crevice Garden, is an herb-themed sundial constructed by the Mountain Thyme Herb Society and a Rose the Riveter Rose Garden. See links to these Gardens below, or from the Park map.
All the gardens are located on the Animas River Trail and the grounds surrounding the Durango Public Library. The gardens are developed and maintained by volunteers for the purposes of education and inspiration. No public funds have been used to develop these gardens. DBG is an all-volunteer organization dependent on contributions from our community and garden visitors. If you enjoyed your visit today, please contribute to our effort. Your contribution will help us grow this year!
